Liz Colmenares Espina grew up in Venezuela where she studied Communication at Universidad Católica Andrés Bello in Caracas. Liz later was CEO of Dopamina Advertising Agency and for 5 years worked in campaigns with international brands such as Church's Chicken, Subway, Santiago Premium among others, in Latin America.
In 2014, Chef Liz began her culinary studies at the Mariano Moreno Gastronomic Institute in Caracas. In 2016, she decided to create a franchise-style brand called Amanda Cookies Venezuela, which grew into two branches.
In 2018 after traveling for a month in Asia, Chef Liz decided to move to New York and started her gastronomic career, working at The De Maria and Fortina Restaurants.
Later that year, she went to Miami and began working at Copper Blues Doral through the end of 2019.
In 2020 Chef Liz decided to merge her passions, Digital Marketing applied to gastronomy, her passion for service, and the psychology behind a plate. This combination influenced her to create The Blue Plate, a Vegan Pop-Up with Middle Eastern notes, aimed at a young audience, located in Boca Raton, FL.
From 2021 to 2023, Liz, being a Personal Chef and offering consultancies to restaurants, committed to the journey of restructuring her beliefs. This allowed her to learn new styles of cuisine, serve, and grow within the community. The experience also shed light on the contrasts of the industry. This inspired her to rebuild a new version of herself, "it's always about the people, food is a consequence.”
Now, Liz’s intention as a Personal Chef is to bring her culinary experiences anywhere in US, to expand her brand and to inspire other chefs to achieve their dreams.

“Passion, perseverance and love for people are fundamental factors in this career. My satisfaction in the kitchen is the pleasure of my diners, it is adding to their lives in experience, flavors, aromas and textures”
